Quest of the Mystic Knight Part I : Darkness Abounds

Dark demons conjured from their dank tomb
Spreading evil - at the Order of Satan’s wish for gloom
Across meadows flowering this wave of fire goes breathing
Scorching everything beautiful – everything living.

Lightlessness creeps over a land left barren
Obstructing even the brilliance of heaven
However a fair maiden wanders aimlessly
Over the desolate landscape vigilantly.

Amidst the ruin she finds a single lily flourishing
Glowing brilliant still amongst the decaying
A sign of life still untouched by the devastation
A sign of beauty purity hope and salvation.

From ashes of Lucifer also rises in beauty
A new Hero – A New Glory to battle this Evil Entity
The danger lies not within His also rising Wisps
It lies within ourselves, are we willing to help what He risks?

Hehe, I have such a weak spot when it comes to symbolism. . . I absolutely love how nicely composed this is, filled with little symbolic touches about life and beauty. The words have such a powerfully alluring feel to them. . . they just hold onto the reader until the very last line. Good thing there's a part II because I'm going to read it. :aww: Great work.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting. Katarina and I have been having trouble connecting lately so haven't been able to get Part II completed (taking longer than probably either of us had hoped). But with all the troubles that Kat has had to endure lately is somewhat excepted too. I hope that we will be able to get cracking again and finish Part II soon. By the way it is titled "Quest of the Mystic Knight Part II : Purity and Hope Captured"
here is a little glimpse of what is to come.

Hordes of Satan reeked their havoc upon the already blood soaked lands
There still remained purity and hope held in trembling maiden’s hands
If only she realized, if only her soul's eyes could behold the power she held in
this fight
The lone remaining force, the last wall of defense, to restoring again the

Thanks again for all of your support.

Thanks also for the comment on the preview. I am not that proficient at manipulation (really haven't the proper software). So thank you so much for that comment coming for you it really means a lot.

You have the beginnings of a nice epic poem! :+fav: I'm flattered that you used one of my stocks as the cover for it. I like the symbolism of the castle, but I don't yet understand what it means. Good work with the poem. I liked the tempo and the rhyme. Well done!

Thank you for the comment. Glad that you like Part 1 of our three or four part work. The castle goes with the thoughts of knights and fair maidens etc. Maybe things will be clearer as we progress throught the rest of the poem.
Thanks again for commenting.
